Working with today's youth is a great opportunity and a great challenge.  To be able to get on their level and communicate to where they respect you, laugh at and with you, and learn from you is even a greater challenge.  We knew we had such person as our opening speaker for the 2006 Texas 4-H Congress when four days later the 4-H members were still talking about Amy Gallimore!  Comments such as "Amy was great!"  "She was so hilarious!"  "Amy was the coolest and she knew what kids were about!"  "She did a great job of telling us to be proud of ourselves and enjoy life at the same time!"

Amy delivered her speech with the charm and dignity of any typical and talented Southern Belle lady.  She related to the 4-H members, involved them in her presentation, and made it real to them by communicating through their terminology.  Throughout her presentation, she maintained a constant roar of laughter from both the youth and adults, helping everyone get motivated and energized for the beginning of a long and busy week.  After the event, Amy stayed around as the youth visited with her to hear some more humorous stories.  The one question that has come up the most since her visit is "When can we get Amy to speak in Texas again?"  Thanks for a great job!

Toby L. Lepley, Ph.D. Texas 4-H Learning Strategies Coordinator

Thank you for coming and presenting.  Your presentation was the highlight of many of the youth's week.  Through out evaluations, your presentation came up many times as being the "best part of Congress."  I sure appreciate everything you did for us!

"We have had Amy Gallimore present at numerous programs and conferences at the University of Georgia. Amy is an amazing presenter who always connects with our students and administration. She has the unique talent to engage both large and small groups in an entertaining way that is appropriate for all ages. Students who listen to her presentations look at their college experience, and more importantly, their leadership development in a new and refreshing light. Amy is energetic, insightful and passionate about making leadership fun and meaningful."

Eric Atkinson
Assistant to the Vice President for Student Outreach and Community Building

"Amy Gallimore is a riot. She kept approximately 500 youth engaged at our event and the majority of them said she was the best speaker they had ever heard. Their only regret was that the time she spoke was not long enough. There is not a better compliment from teenagers. Her use of
humor is motivational and helps to drive home her message in a way that is remembered."

"Amy Gallimore is the perfect way to start any meeting, training, or conference off right. Her message is worthwhile and her delivery is like none other. She is 100% attuned to college students making every story she tells hilarious and relevant."

"You have won the prize for being the "BEST SPEAKER AT ANY 4-H EVENT" EVER!!! I cannot tell you how much the kids (and "grownups") enjoyed hearing you speak at Roundup! Thank you so much for taking the time to be in Knoxville last week. You were a real inspiration for all in attendance that day. Keep laughing.... you're contagious!"

I just want to say thank you so much for coming and making our training fun and exciting. I know from previous experience that after you see people at training you forget their names by the time camp rolls around. I can honestly say that I have connected better with people at this training session than any of the previous ones. You are truly talented and a laugh to be around. I pray that God continues to bless you in your work. Thanks again.

"I liked the speaker Loran and Sarah got.  She was
funny and interesting.  That was a great new addition."

"Some of the RAs raved about Amy after they heard her
speak at a RA conference in the state.  They said she
would be great for our RA training.  Amy does a very
funny and motivating session that hit lots of main
training points right on the head.  I really liked the
story about "listening like your life depends on it".
The best part for me was how easy Amy is to work with.
Being a one-woman training program, I simply couldn't
handle meeting and greeting a speaker and providing
for all the demands often required.  Amy had very simple
needs that were easily met.  She recognized the
limitations of my budget and schedule and worked with me on
every aspect.  We had a ball having Amy at UofL and
hope to see her again in Kentucky soon!!

Amy kicked off a multigenerational retreat for our church with some icebreakers and it was truly amazing how quickly she was able to get everyone on their feet and smiling. She has the unique ability to relate well to people of all ages and backgrounds and get them actively involved in fun, meaningful activities before they even realize it. Her infectious smile and great sense of humor makes her a welcome addition to any gathering.

One of the biggest challenges in the world of professional speaking is keeping the attention of teachers who claim to have heard it all before.  Knowing this, Amy Gallimore stood before 75 teachers at Henry County High School and delivered the best team-building workshop I have ever encountered.  She made us laugh and brought us together as a faculty.  Weeks after the event, teachers still stop me in the halls to tell me what a good time they had.

Amy's witty stories, and the wisdom she draws from them, captivated over 200 University of Tampa leaders. There is no doubt that Amy understands the connection between laughter and learning, and she uses this to make the time she spends with student not only meaningful, but fun.

I can not say enough about how enthusiastic and inspiring that Amy was when she spoke the student staff at Valdosta State University . Sometimes it is not easy to hold the attention or the interest of college students.  However, Amy was able to connect with the students and provide some humorous words of wisdom that will be memorable to all who attended.

Some of the specific quotes from students include:

Amy kept the energy in the room pumping. She is AWESOME

Amy is a speaker that should come back to speak again next year

Amy was motivational and I would love to hear her speak again

Amy sounded like a comedian and we need more of those for training

The best part about training was Amy
