Amy Gallimore received her B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Amy served for six years in campus residential life programs and was an Educational Consultant for the Tennessee 4-H Program, as well as speaking professionally for the Tennessee 4-H Program and the Tennessee Governor’s Lead, Learn, and Serve Program.

Amy received her Masters Degree in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Georgia in 2000, and is the recipient of the 2000 Outstanding Master’s Student Award for the state of Georgia, as well as the 2001 New Professional of the Year Award.

She was recently recognized by the Kennesaw State University President and University Cabinet as the 2003-2004 GEM Award Winner for her work in creating the first residence life program at KSU.

Amy is the owner of “The Sweet Corn Company,” a small company that focuses on bringing experiential activities and motivational messages to others. Amy’s high impact training focus on the positive health benefits of humor and the power of laughter, as she manages to get participants out of their chairs and excited about their lives. She has presented her “Laugh It Off” message, as well as her “GET LOUD” activities to numerous college campuses, church organizations, fraternities and sororities, collegiate leadership summits, as well as various professional and corporate organizations.

She also is a member of the Board of Directors for Camp Quality USA, a program that provides nationwide community based camping experiences and on-going support programs for children with cancer and their families. (You can check them out on-line at www.campqualityusa.org)

Amy is currently an Extension Specialist for Tennessee 4-H Youth Development.
